Production Scheduler

Job Req #:9064BR
Functional Area: Accounting

Accountability Objective: Responsible for creating and maintaining the master production schedule based on a review of customer orders, forecast, and independent demand requirements. Will attend Sales and Operations planning meetings and act as a liaison between Sales and Operations and field operations to ensure sales orders are developed into manufacturing plans in order to meet customer objectives.

Responsibilities:
-Plans and develops production schedules.
-Monitors materials inventories, tracks progress of production and reviews factors which affect schedules.
-Prepare the master production schedule based on the S & OP process to meet revenue and customer requirements.
-Develop monthly forecast and generate reports in support of product sales and service part requirements.
-Track inventory levels and assist in inventory reduction efforts
-Create and manage the internal work orders needed to meet customer demand, operational objectives, and business goals
-Ensure lot/serial control items are traced appropriately through the production system.
-Develop appropriate reports and their analysis to support the visibility. Insure any report/databases required reflect accurate and timely information by providing updates of status changes/part movements.
-Responsible for the timely review and completion of work orders as required. Ensures work order cost variances are identified and reconciled prior to completion and accounting review.
-Requires input to the MRP system and maybe required to run appropriate calculations as needed.
-Comply with established company policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety and environmental standards.
-Work with purchasing department and order material when needed
-Back up other inventory personnel as needed
-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education:
-Four year degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience required
Experience:
-Familiar with Lean Manufacturing practices
-3-5 years experience in production activity control, manufacturing operations, or material tracking function preferred
-Knowledge and experience with MRP
Skills:
-Must be a dependable individual, with a good work/attendance record
-Must be a proven self-starter, with exemplary written and oral communication skills
-Ability to work independently with persistence and attention to detail required
-Above average analytical, decision making, problem solving and research skills
-Advanced math skills including making calculations, creating formulas and analyzing data.
Computer/Typing/Equipment:
-Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point preferred
-Some experience with a computerized accounting system required. Great Plains Dynamics Accounting System experience helpful

Status: Salary Exempt

Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Factory Support Technician

Job Req #:9309BR
Functional Area: Field Support

Accountability Objective: On a scheduled, rotating basis, perform the following according to Company policies and procedures: 1) process customer phone calls while working toward resolution of technical issues and documenting information; 2) evaluate and repair returned customer equipment and assist in the production process; and 3) travel to customer sites to perform system installations, including customer training, and provide onsite service on SST’s products.

Duties:
-Handle customer phone calls and assist customers in solving technical issues over the phone
-Make routine phone calls to customers to discuss warranty and repair issues and ensure satisfactory results in solving technical issues
-Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours over-the-phone customer technical support and Company building alarm system
-Use basic electronic assembly tools, hand power equipment, and various electronic test equipment to perform troubleshooting, testing and repairs of electronic equipment
-Inspect, repair, sort, alter, or reject products
-Assemble electronic devices and components
-Visually inspect and re-work fine detail such as solder joints
-Assist management with productivity initiatives as determined requested
-Maintenance of production machinery, equipment and test jigs
-Enter data in various database/software programs
-Complete onsite equipment inspection, repair, and installation as directed
-Provide training to facility personnel in the operation and maintenance of installed equipment as directed
-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education/Licensing:
-Associates Degree in Electronics and/or the equivalent education and experience in a technical setting required
-Must be eligible to hold license(s) as required by government regulations
Experience:
-Some experience preferred in: helping customers with technical issues, talking over the telephone in a business setting, related electronic and wiring skills, field support and customer training
Skills:
-Ability to read, write and speak the English language required
-Must have good written and oral communication and with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
-Ability to use tools and instruments for working with electronic products (oscilloscope, voltage meter, etc.)
-Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
-Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
-Required to drive a van on a regular basis
-Must successfully pass a background check prior to employment including, but not limited to, credit and criminal history
Computer/Typing/Equipment:
-Basic computer knowledge (word-processing, spreadsheets, and Windows) required; Intermediate Windows experience preferred
Physical:
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required on a limited basis, up to 75 pounds occasionally
-Required to climb and stand on ladders, sometimes for extended periods of time
-Required to stand in and crawl through tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces, utility access, etc). Crawl space access may be as small as 16”
-Required to work with tools
Age Requirement:
-Must be at least 21 years old in order to rent vehicles as required
Travel:
-Must have the ability to travel extensively, overnight, on a regular basis

Manufacturing Engineer

Functional Area: Manufacturing

Accountability Objective: Persons in this position are expected to assume the role of manufacturing engineer. They will be responsible for, but not limited to fixture design, process development, developing & maintaining process and equipment work instructions, capital equipment purchases and installation, lead equipment up time program and analysis of new and existing products.

Responsibilities:
-Participate in concurrent engineering as manufacturing team lead.
-Analyze current production methods, suggest improvements, implement and track improvements.
-Reduction of defects through improved processes or materials.
-Automation of current and acquired processes.
-Suggest, source, install and start up capital equipment projects.
- Cost reduction of current products through redesign and alternate components.
-Development and maintenance of process and equipment instructions.
-New product launch by integrating into existing processes, modifying existing processes or developing new processes.
-Integration of acquired processes and technologies.

Education/Requisite Skills:
Education:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
-Three (3) years experience in manufacturing engineering preferred.
Skills:
-Strong qualitative problem recognition and solving abilities.
-Experience in Lean and Six Sigma preferred.
-Ability to tie manufacturing performance to P&L performance.
-Solid experience in tolerance analysis methods, design for assembly, & manufacturability preferred.
-Open minded attitude, willingness to succeed in competitive business.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
-Experience in fixture design.
-Ability to travel in North America is required, overseas travel preferred.
-Experience in specifying, sourcing and start up of capital equipment.
-Strong mechanical background required with automation experience preferred.

Warehouse Operator

Functional Area: Manufacturing

Duties:
-Receiving
-Count, document, inspect and process materials received
-Data entry of materials returned from customers
-Process returned goods research issues regarding materials returned from customers, including looking up information in a database and working with other departments to determine proper disposition and distribution.
-Assist with evaluation and final disposition of returned goods
-Unload trucks
-Stocking
-Stock materials in warehouse
-Record storage of serial numbers, models and number of units put into inventory and shipped
-Count inventory material as needed
-Shipping
-Prepare customer orders for shipment
-Record serial numbers, model numbers and amounts for orders shipped
-Process documentation for foreign shipments
-Package, label, and weigh boxes for shipments
-Calculate cost of shipping correctly
-Invoicing
-Accurately create and input customer invoices after verification of shipped equipment
-Verify data entry accuracy of invoice, batches, and other data

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high workloads and stress levels during peak periods

Regional Sales Coordinator - Tabs

Duties:
-Initiate sales through pro-active means (outbound calling, mail, FAX, etc.)
-Provide sales literature, product information and produce quotations as necessary to produce enough sales to meet an agreed upon performance standard
-Promptly respond to sales leads in a designated territory
-Communicate effectively with current customers, prospective and customers, dealers, distributors, and internal employees
-Handle incoming inquiry and customer service calls. Coordinate and administer follow-up activities such as documenting conversations in database, processing quotes/orders and return authorizations, lead tracking, brochure mailings, scheduled call backs or rep visits.
