History
Senior Technologies introduced the WanderGuard® departure alert system in 1985. There are now more WanderGuard® systems installed in long term care facilities nationwide than any other comparable system. The success of this line, plus additional products including TABS® mobility monitors, the Arial® wireless communications system, and WanderGuard® locks, has resulted in company growth and stability. Senior Technologies’ continued success caught the attention of The Stanley Works, and the company was acquired by Stanley Security Solutions, Inc. in 2002.

WanderGuard® departure alert systems
An industry standard, WanderGuard® systems address wanderer management needs in today’s healthcare environment. After consultation with the facility, selective and nonselective alarms are combined with locks, annunciators, transmitters, paging systems and other security options to customize a system to meet the needs of the facility and provide managed freedom for residents.

WanderGuard® locks
Manufactured by Senior Technologies Division, WanderGuard® Locks combine life safety, security and cost effectiveness. They are used to secure emergency exit and stairwell doors, as well as doors leading to busy streets, swimming pools and other hazards.

TABS® mobility monitors
TABS® mobility monitors are helping to reduce the risk of falls in thousands of facilities nationwide. The complete TABS® product line offers simple units with cord-disk assemblies and pressure pads, as well as units with multiple alarm tones, nurse call interface and radio and paging options.

Arial® wireless communication system and the Arial® Link call system
The Arial® system melds many patient safety technologies into one centralized system that helps to provide superior facility management. It easily installs in almost any size of facility, integrates with smoke detectors, magnetic locks, WanderGuard® systems, TABS? monitors and more.

Support Services
Stanley-Senior Technologies’ customers communicate directly with a full staff of technicians and support personnel who are dedicated to providing much more than prompt, courteous service. Toll free technical support is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, orientation materials are available that include user manuals, videos, sample assessment tools and protocol guides. Employee field specialists can also be dispatched to provide on-site installation and repair service.
